The summer of 2008 will be remembered for one thing and one thing only - the Bragster Olympiad!
10 somewhat trained bragsters from across the UK participated in a series of events to determine who is the ultimate bragster. A summer of hilarious entertainment ensued and well what an epic 6 weeks it was! They battled hard through adversity, through stiff competition, through madness and made us all proud to be bragsters. All across the UK, the name "bragster.com" resonates and "Victory Is Sweet" is being chanted by people everywhere.
In the end there was only room for one Ultimate Bragster and the glory goes to Alski! What a legend. Not only was he crowned in glory, but he also won a brand spanking new camcorder. Many mad times shall be head filming more crazy footage.

Stand-Up Comedy
Most people think they are funny to a degree but do you have the gonads to get on stage?
Our Olympians will be breaking in their funny bones in this inaugural event as they grab the mike at the Hyena Comedy Club in Newcastle.

Judging will be done by the audience and will gauged by 1) material 2) response 3) confidence and a bonus will be awarded to the performer who can busk in the most punters. -
Nettle Eating
Stinging Nettle.
An irritant to anyone who touches it.
So how much of it could you eat?Each year the Dorset Inn in Dorset hosts the 'World Nettle Eating Championships'. Last years winner gorged on over 18 ft of the plant that bites back.

Speed Dating
A true bragster should be as adept at putting their life on the line as they are at pulling women.
Our speed dating event will be a true test of pheromones & testosterone as the Olympians must convince the lovely lasses that they are the biggest catch.
Points will be awarded for charm; humour; looks and of course doing something unexpected.

Mountain Bog Racing
Britain's smallest town is home to one of the bragster Olympiad's biggest events.
Our strapping athletes must traverse a muddy bog on a mountain bike in the fastest time to win this event. Wearing a weighted backpack & a lead weighted bike the competitors will need to tighten their snorkel if they want to cross the bog in record time. As always bonus points will be awarded for acts of flair.

Medieval Games
Britain. Home of castles; kings; & in some villages Daffyd the only queen.
In this portion of the Olympiad our competitors must harken back to the daze of olde to find their inner serf.
BMX Jousting; gorging on a medieval feast and archery are only some of the events that our competitors must endure if they want to be knighted as the victor in this portion of the contest.

NEWQUAY FINALE
Newquay is Britain's answer to Orange County.
Bleary eyed surfers and burned out burn-outs occupy the same stretch of beach as bikini clad goddesses and annoying little children.

The bragster athletes will have one last chance to win it all in this beach themed competition. This afternoon delight will culminate in a bragster style obstacle course in which the fastest competitor could leap in the rankings to take the title and the trophy!

Also we can't forget our loyal bragster audience. We did promise a prize for the bragster who picked the correct winner for the most events and in the end it was a tie, and out of the hat - the winner was Miss_Wolvo! Congrats - you also win a great camcorder.
