Advisors

We have put together a strong Board of Advisors, targeting people with hands-on experience in the industry rather than a couple of nametags.

Tim Reeve

Tim Reeve

Tim joined us as a technology advisor. His vast experience in peer-to-peer exchanges technology, in micro-payments and in mobile apps made him a perfect match for us. But very quickly, Tim became increasingly involved, spending more and more of his spare time with the team, helping drive the customer experience, putting us in touch with relevant partners. His most recent roles include positions as Managing Director Europe of CES plc (now FUN Technologies plc), CEO of EnsurePay Ltd, CTO of Betfair.com, and CTO and of uSwitch.com. Interestingly, Tim has almost 1,000 skydiving jumps under his belt. Plus, his rolodex is amazing.

Jorrit Van der Meulen

Jorrit Van der Meulen

Jorrit brings a strong product development and online partnership experience on board. He is currently VP at Zillow.com, a startup created with the founder of Expedia.com. Earlier, Jorrit was at Amazon for six years, serving in a number of senior management roles. This is where Bertrand worked closely with him. Prior to Amazon, Jorrit was the Director of Business Development for Oracle Applications, and worked in Sales and Marketing for Procter & Gamble. Jorrit holds a Harvard MBA.

Professor Leighton Vaughan Williams

Professor Williams

Leighton is Professor of Economics and Finance and Head of Economics Research at Nottingham Business School, where he also runs the Betting Research Unit. While bragster is very remote from any form of traditional betting (and intends to remain so!), Leighton found it fascinating to see the new dynamic that we would be able to create. He also acts in an advisory and consultative capacity to the commercial and Government sectors. He was educated at University College, Cardiff and Hertford College, Oxford University, and holds a First Class Honours degree and a PhD in economics.

Professor Walter Kuemmerle

Professor Kuemmerle

Walter Kuemmerle provides us with invaluable advice, and his passion for our project has helped us moving fast while avoiding some basic pitfalls. He is one of the world's leading experts in the area of international entrepreneurship (try his book "International Entrepreneurship"). He was a faculty member at Harvard Business School for over 10 years and now works as an independent professor and consultant, lecturing at leading institutions around the world and researching high-performing entrepreneurial organizations. Walter obtained degrees in industrial economics and management at Koblenz School of Corporate Management in Germany and Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Lyon before obtaining his doctorate at HBS.
