   Incase you are wondering I am a retired 22 year police officer from the United States. I carried both an M-16 and a shotgun as well as my sidearm which was a Sig-Saure P220 .45 simi auto pistol.

   I know living in the United Kingdom makes it difficult with their gun restrictions but for 100m I do recommend using a rifle and one with a very high muzzle velocity. This will give you the least bullet drop over the distance traveled. Gravity will see to it that the projectile will hit the ground but the idea is to get it to travel farther before it does.
